[ lovely homemade marinades + cured meats ]

Our customers are becoming ever more adventurous with olives. Sure, everyone has their favourite, but one of the benefits of having an olive stall at the market is that people can try new varieties when they fancy.

I am also lucky that Stefano created such lovely homemade marinades: he started with only 3 olives initially and expanded our offering month by month during the first couple of years of trading. I really couldn’t pick the most popular; I think we have one to suit most occasions & palates!

Adding antipasti such as Sundried Tomatoes, Artichokes, Baby Onions, Feta-stuffed Peppers & Dolmathes meant that we could offer customers the possibility of making up their own mixed Olive and Antipasti pots, something that still proves to be very popular.

 

To think that I had to train myself to eat olives in my twenties whilst living and working in Corsica! 2 olives a day for 4 months, that’ll do it; how lucky now that I am responsible for about 25 different types of olives, marinades and antipasti!

Since October 2016 we have also been selling our olives in a compostable pot made of plant starch, biodegradable within 12 weeks in a home composter. Our hot food packaging had been compostable for a while and I am still proud that we transferred to a much more sustainable, albeit more costly, solution than plastic.

As well as our range of olives & antipasti, we also offer a selection of salami and salsiccia; all of which are handmade with 100% pork and free from nitrates/preservatives. We make some ourselves and also import from small, family businesses known personally to Stefano’s family.

– CURED MEATS

[ SALAMI | SALSICCIA | PANCETTA | COPPA ]

As well as curing our own meats, we also import produce from small, family-run suppliers local to where Stefano grew up in Italy. We know these suppliers personally and they are very well-respected in the Amalfi coast region of Italy. All of the meat is free-range and it is handmade with no artificial preservatives or lactose plus tastes sublime!

We offer handmade Artisan Neopolitan Salami, Salsiccia (both dolce and piccante, Pancetta and Coppa, which you can find at most of our Farmers’ Markets.

We can also provide a selection of our cured meats as antipasti for your wedding or event, combining it with some of our olives & antipasti if you wish.
